PhotoStella Chung

Stella Chung completed her B.A. in Political Science and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Southern California in 2017. She is currently a U.S. Fulbright Scholar in South Korea.

Stella Chung is interested in how the empowerment of marginalized communities can create impactful public policy. She is also interested in how media and communication can be used as a platform to mobilize individuals and groups to act towards social change. She works as a student assistant at the Metamorphosis Project, where she participates in research that seeks to improve the quality of community life in Los Angeles. Outside of work, she tutors and mentors elementary school students at the Koreatown Youth and Community Center and enjoys learning to play the guitar and piano. Her time at USC has taken her on a variety of adventures including an archaeological dig in Rome, construction projects in rural Guatemala, and working in the basement of the United University Church preparing organic, vegan meals for hungry students, staff, and faculty.
