Metamorhposis team members prepare grant for submission to the National Institute of Health Meghan Moran, Sandra Ball-Rokeach, Matthew Matsaganis, along with past members Yong-Chan Kim and Holley Wilkin, are preparing a grant for submission to the National Institute of Health. The grant proposes examining how geo-ethnic factors affects health and health literacy in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and the Black Belt area in Alabama.  10/26/07
Forthcoming book presentation at Simon Frasier University Matthew Matsaganis, Vikki Katz and Sandra Ball-Rokeach have been invited to present a summary of their forthcoming book on ethnic media at Simon Frasier’s Enclosure, Emancipatory Communication and the Global City conference on October 28-29, 2007.  10/26/07
Linking civic engagement and family interaction Holley Wilkin, Vikki Katz, and Sandra Ball-Rokeach recently completed a paper that explores the links between civic engagement and family interaction in immigrant Latino families. This paper is under review with the Journal of Communication. 10/26/07
Research on African American-Latino intergroup relations Metamorphosis team members are currently conducting research on African American-Latino intergroup relations in South Los Angeles community organizations.  This research is funded by a grant from the USC Urban Initiative Immigration & Integration Initiative. 10/05/07
