What's New at Metamorphosis

Alhambra Project members to present at the Centres and Peripheries Conference in Glasgow, Scotland

On May 7, Alhambra Project members Nancy Chen and Jin Huang will present findings from the group’s year-long research at the Centres and Peripheries Conference organized by the Glasgow Caledonian University.  Their presentation, titled “The Potential and Challenges for Trilingual Journalism: A Community-based Approach”, focuses on the trends of civic participation in Alhambra and the availability of news resources to help local residents and organizations stay on top of what’s happening in their community.  The Alhambra Project is a joint initiative of the Metamorphosis Project and the School of Journalism at the Annenberg School for Communication.  The goal of this project is develop a local news product that helps enhance civic participation in a neighborhood of ethnic and linguistic diversity.
