The Alhambra project is in the final stage of preparation for a series of focus groups that involve Alhambra residents of different ethnic and linguistic backgrounds. These focus groups are designed to shed light on the current levels of civic participation of Alhambra residents and the potential opportunities for connecting our planned news product to residents and community organizations. The form of this local news product will be developed based on focus group discussions with local residents and community organizations about the communication channels they find accessible and most appropriate for this purpose. In doing so, we hope to make this project participatory and self-sustaining.
