What's New at Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis members present on their diverse research interests at NCA in San Diego, CA

This weekend, members of the Metamorphosis Project drove south to San Diego, CA for the annual National Communication Association conference to present research that they have been working on outside of the Metamorphosis Project.

Papers and presentations by our team members included “Primed by Supersize: Examining the Attitudinal Effects of Super Size Me Through Priming” by Nancy Chen; a paper titled “Insights from a senior center CyberCafe evaluation” by Meghan Moran, and co-authored by Maryalice Jordan-Marsh, Michelle Gradis, and Margaret McLaughlin; two papers by Nikki Usher titled “Fauxtography: A Blog-driven Challenge to Mass Media Power Without the Promises of Networked Publicity” and “Gay Sex Scandals: Toward a Typology of Mediated Scandal Script”; and “Beyond the Binary: A Meaning Based Approach to Ethnically Targeted Advertising” by Christopher Chavez.
